POWERREPING: bench + Deadlift amrap event rules

Mike womack's PowerReping

Each lifter will compete in his/her own weight class. Each lifter will receive one (1) opportunity to lift a weight of his/her choice for as many repetitions as possible. The lifter may pause at the top or bottom of the lift for no more than 5 seconds. There will be 3 judges: 2 side and 1 head judge. The head judge will have a timer that s/he will start when a pause occurs during the lift. Each judge will have a palm clicker to count each successful repetition completed. When the lifter is finished lifting, all 3 judges will the score the amount of successful repetitions displayed on the palm counters. All 3 will be added together and divided by 3, giving an average of repetitions completed.

For example:

BENCH PRESS
Head Judge: 36 successful repetitions counted
Left Side Judge: 31 successful repetitions counted
Right Side Judge: 32 successful repetition counted

99 total reps / 3 = 33 x 100 pounds bar weight = 3,300 pounds lifted

DEADLIFT
Head Judge: 26 successful repetitions counted
Left Side Judge: 23 successful repetitions counted
Right Side Judge: 20 successful repetition counted

69 total reps / 3 = 23 x 100 pounds bar weight = 2,300 pounds lifted

GRAND TOTAL
Bench Press: 3,300 + Deadlift: 2,300 = 5,600 Grand Total

The average repetitions lifted will be multiplied by the bar weight, giving the lifter their score (total amount of weight lifted). The lifter who lifts the most total weight per weight class wins. In the case of a tie, the lifter who weighed the least during the official weigh-ins, will win.
